Chronological Bible. Day 1

You will not certainly die; God is afraid of you, that's why he won't let you be happy.

*The first lie, the lie in which all other lies about us are rooted.*

First of all. We can not rebel against God in a manner in which we would overthrow his ruling. We can rebel against him in our hearts and he has set a future for those who do, but nothing we choose to do against his will, will ever put into question WHO god is  or the role He plays in our story.

Then God asked man: Where are you? ---- Is god trying to make a fool of himself? Doesn't he know everything we do exactly when we do it? Why does he asks as if he is not aware of what just happened? Maybe he was expecting a different answer from man. God knows everything but He does not control what we think, feel and do. Maybe he was expecting for Adam to say he was sorry, that he had done wrong and that he did not want to lose him. But here is Adam, just blaming it on somebody else.

I think (and these is only MY perception) that God knew what had happened but was questioning about the intentions…WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? Do you love me? You see, God had created this being in which he had deposited all of his love, he chose to make him the beloved of his heart. But as soon as he created him, this man felt alone. God had to create a companion in order for him to feel like he was complete. Man had always had this hunger to be somebody else…to not be totally dependable on God. That for me is the perfect sign that we are not puppets in God's world. He, in his infinite knowledge and control of everything, decided to not have control over THIS…over the only thinking-decision making been he had created. He did not want to own him. He wanted to see what man would do for himself. And man…as we do everyday…fell right into the trap.

About the consequences (I here am speaking as modern physiologists who don't call them punishment but rather consequences for acts).

Consequence 1:
It speaks to the devil … his punishment was to hate US humans…forever! Trying to set us apart from God. Well I can not say much about that…I am no devil (at least that I am aware of).

Consequence 2:
Women would suffer in the whole process of giving birth. Oh well…that is messed up. If you are a woman and suffer of cramps, or the whole 5 days in which you have to be aware of the blood that's coming out of you (in the middle of all the other thousand things you have to take care of), then you know it's not nice.

I know not and would not try to pretend i do, why God gave us this consequence, but somehow…giving birth is among the most cherished experiences women have. I have not have any kids and actually don't want to bear my children, but to adopt them(but that is a whole other story) but all of the mothers i've told this intention of mine, have tried to persuade me of why i should give birth to at least one child. Because they say:"You will never know the awesome feeling you get when this person has come out of you alive".

Ok, so we humans tend to love the most, that which has cost us more trouble, more pain. In giving this consequence, God created love for family, and a lesson for both men and women, that whatever costs and pains us, will be that which we will cherish forever.

Consequence 3:
And here is what amazes me of the order of God's creation. He has set man as the head of the family, the authority (I know feminists will slant me for that, I don't consider myself the most abnegated of woman, but I know this is how it is supposed to work). And when Adam's consequence is given; BAM! the whole earth is cursed because of you.

When Eve's consequence was spoken, it was a consequence which affected her kind, but in Adam all the earth was cursed, everything around them and he would have to work in order to eat and survive until his imminent death arrived.

Well that is a harsh consequence…I love my work and I still go through a lot of trouble when I get up in the morning… But then again, whatever has cost you hard work, that you cherish the most.

I am a teacher and am proud to say that when I discover the way in which a student learns, and the exact way I can motivate them in order to achieve their goals…well those are the good days at work. Even though those students are the ones who make me grow green hair, they still are the most precious when they go out of my classroom into their next year and are, even in the smallest way, better than when they came in.
